Western Mediterranean Food and Agricultural Cluster participated in Fruit Logistica Fair in Berlin, Germany.

Participants of the "West Mediterranean Food and Agricultural Cluster" project which is supported by the Ministry of Economy, presented fresh fruit and vegetable products of the region at the booth located in the exhibition area. The West Mediterranean delegation also visited supermarkets in Berlin. Visits to Kaufland & Metro Cash and Carry and Edaka, one of Germany's leading supermarket chains, gave hope to further increase the region's export of fresh fruit and vegetables. In addition, the delegation visited the wholesale market in Berlin.


Foreign companies attending the fair showed interest in the products of the Western Mediterranean Food and Agricultural Cluster. The fair was generally positive for the Western Mediterranean region. West Mediterranean Exporters Association was represented by the chairman of the executive board of WMEA, Mr. Mustafa SATICI, Member of the Board Ali Demir, Secretary General Fisun Evrensevdi Pektas and 9 exporter companies. Ali Kemal Aydin, Ambassador of Turkey and Mehmet Azgin, Commercial Counseller of Turkey in Berlin, visited the booth and interviewed with the exporters.
