West Mediterranean Exporters Association continues its efforts without a break to increase export in terms of both product and market diversity. In this scope, BAIB participated in ‘'International Product Exhibition & Conference 2018- Qatar'' which was organized for the first time. West Mediterranean's export products were comprehensively introduced to potential customers during the exhibition.

The exhibiton was organized by Government of Qatar between 8th and 10th October 2018 in Doha. In the exhihibiton, BAIB was represented by Mr. Hakki Ergin CIVAN, Deputy Chairman of the Board of BAIB, and Mr. Süleyman DURAN, Member of the Board of BAIB. Mr. CIVAN and Mr. DURAN paid a visit to Chamber of Qatar to improve relations between Qatar and West Mediterranean region.

Mr. CIVAN held a meeting with Mr. Saleh bin Hamad Al SHARQI, General Director of Chamber of Qatar. During the meeting, Mr. CIVAN gave information to Mr. Saleh Bin Hamad Al SHARQI about Hestourex-World Health Sport Tourism Congress & Exhibition 2019 which will be held in between 4th and 7th April 2019 under the auspicies of Presidency of Republic of Turkey and invited Qatari businessmen to the organization. Mr.CIVAN also participated in a conference, organized in the scope of the fair, about investment possibilities and government incentives in Qatar.

During the exhibition, meetings were held with Qatari businessmen and important steps were taken for the future. Throughout the exhibition, BAIB booth were visited by Deputy Minister of Trade Mrs. Gonca YILMAZ BATUR, Ambassador Mr. Fikret ÖZER, Undersecretary of Doha Embassy of Turkey Mrs. Naime ÖZTÜRK MERAL, Head of Department of Fair of Ministry of Trade Mrs. Serah KEKEÇ.

Deputy Chairman of Board of BAIB Mr. Hakki Ergin CIVAN had an interview with a Qatari Television Broadcaster on the site of the fair and gave information about West Mediterranean's export products. BAIB delegation also joined a dinner in the Embassy Residence of Turkey in Doha. During the dinner, Turkey's export to Qatar were discussed with Deputy Minister of Trade Mrs. Gonca YILMAZ BATUR, Ambassador Mr. Fikret ÖZER, Doha Commercial Counsellor Mr. Burak GÜRESÇI and other Exporters Association's Chairman of Boards
