West Mediterranean Exporters Association participated fresh fruit and vegetable fair in Moscow

West Mediterranean Exporters Association (WMEA) participated World Food Moscow held in between 12th-15th September. WMEA introduced West Mediterranean exporters along with the region's fresh fruit and vegetable products to Russian and neighbouring countries' suppliers by participating the fair.

World Food Moscow, organised in Russia's capital Moscow, brings together the prominent food suppliers and exporters of Turkic Republics along with Russia. WMEA introduced West Mediterranean exporters together with the region's fresh fruit and vegetable products to the visitors by taking place with its own booth in the fair. During the fair, West Mediterranean Exporters Association was represented by Mr. Mustafa SATICI, the chairman of the executive board of WMEA. In the fair, Mr. Mustafa SATICI accomplished important meetings and visits for further development of our region's export. Commercial Counsellor of Turkey to the Russian Federation Mr. Halit Oral AKBAY also visited WMEA's booth in World Food Moscow.

The chairman of the executive board of WMEA, Mr. Mustafa SATICI by evaluating the fair in the period of both Russian and Turkish offices making promising statements about opening the doors said, "The restriction against export from our country to Russian Federation has not been abolished yet. We wish for the termination of the restrictions. We have high expectations of fresh fruit and vegetable export following the abolishment of the restrictions. The potential of fresh fruit and vegetable export to Russian Federation is high. The neighbouring countries' attention along with Russia's to both our association's and our members' booth encouraged hope. During their meetings, our members expressed that they can supply the required products with the end of the restrictions. Subsequent to this fruitful fair, we wait excitedly for the day of the abolishment of the restrictions and starting export to Russia”.
