West Mediterranean Exporters Union (BAIB) participated in Coverings 2015 Fair, which is the USA's biggest and most important fair for the natural stone sector. In the fair, regional products and companies were introduced.

To increase the export value of natural stones, promote the region's natural stone products and companies, increase the effectiveness of alternative markets, BAIB attended the Coverings Fair 2015 between 14-17 April in Orlando, USA. BAIB Board Vice Chairman Mr. Ramazan Atilgan, BAIB Mining Committee Chairman Mr. Ercan Akin, BAIB Board Members Mr. Mehmet Özel and Mr. Selçuk Baysari, BAIB Secretary General Ms. Fisun Evrensevdi Pektas and R&D Manager Anil Yilmaz represented the West Mediterranean region.

Miami Consul General of Turkey Mr. Özgür Kivanç Altan, Ministry of Economy Representative Mr. Ahmet Enes Tekcan, Istanbul Mineral Exporters' Association (IMIB) Board Chairman Mr. Ali Kahyaoglu and Board Members visited the BAIB booth as well as businessmen at the fair. This year 1100 companies from nearly 50 countries attended and the exhibition was visited by 25 thousand sector professionals.

Coverings 2015 Fair is an important meeting point for world natural stone trade in means of production, logistics, marketing and sales. Also the fair offers important opportunities to the companies in the sector to follow the trends in the market, to promote their products, to create job opportunities and to create a network.
