Exporting leader firms from Antalya, Burdur and Ispartareceived awards at a ceremony organized by West Mediterranean Exporters Union (BAİB).

BAİB rewarded the most exporting firms from the region of Antalya, Burdur and Isparta. At the prize-giving ceremony, 'Export Stars in 2013', companies received a prize in category of the first 5 highest companies export through BAİB, the first three most exporting companies in sectoral level and special awards. Antalya Governor Mr. Muammer Türker, the Deputy Minister of Economy Mr. Adnan Yıldırım, the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mr. Menderes Türel, AK Party Antalya Deputy Mr. Sadık Badak, TIM Deputy Chairman Mr.Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu, Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman of Assembly Mr. İzzet Bayar, Antalya Commodity Exchange Chairman Mr. Ali Çandır, Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters Union Chairman Mr. Osman Bağdatlıoğlu, the managers of public institutions and organizations, representatives of the NGOs and exporters participated in theceremony organized in Akra Barut Hotel / Antalya.

2023 TARGET 10 BILLION DOLLARS IN EXPORT

During opening speech, BAİB Chairman Mustafa Satıcı underlined that the last 10 years exports in regional economy has grown rapidly. Mr. Satıcı expressed that Turkish exports in 2002 was about 36 billion dollars while exportation figures in our region was only $ 200 million. By 2014, Turkey reached a trade portfolio, to the 250 countries with 61 thousand exporters. Our Union is growing rapidly with the increase in exports in the last 10 years. BAİB growth is clearly more than Turkey's average. We are ranked as the first place in the country in means of the export growth rate for the last 2 years. The members of of our Unions is already more than 4600. While export was $ 111 million in 2000, our exports in 2013 reached $ 1.5 billion. He said also ‘We aim to $ 1.7 billion exports this year, $ 2 billion exports in 2015 and $ 10 billion exports in 2023.'
