Agriculture and Food Cluster visited Vietnam

The Agriculture and Food Cluster turned back to Antalya with positive impressions after intensive Business meetings carried out during the Trade Mission Program.

West Mediterranean Agriculture and Food Cluster went to Vietnam to increase exports and create alternative markets for our region. The Cluster carried out effective activities in Vietnam between 10-15th March 2018. Participants paid visits to Executives of the most prospective supermarket chains in Vietnam and had opportunity to meet them. The Delegation also visited Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market. There, they made market inspections, had opportunity to see the fruits and vegetables consumed in the country and held meetings with Vietnamese importers.

Delegation participants who also visited importing companies of agricultural and food products established Business networks particularly in fertilizer sector.

One whole day of the program was dedicated for B2B organization. Approximately 50 Vietnamese suppliers and importers showed a great interest to both delegation participants and their products. Positive results were obtained in the Business meetings but it is still required the signing of the necessary agreements between the two countries as soon as possible so that fresh fruit and vegetable products could be exported.
