West Mediterranean Agriculture and Food Cluster visited Qatar



West Mediterranean Exporters Association (BAIB) continues without stop its operations which started in order to increase exportation of agricultural and food products and to spread these products out a larger geography. BAIB which puts Qatar under the scope within the frame of creating alternative markets, held a trade mission program to this country under the scope of West Mediterranean Agriculture and Food Cluster Project. The program in which 11 representatives participated from 9 companies, took place in order to enforce regional exportation between 20-24 November 2017.

The delegation going to Qatar for Trade Mission Activities, visited fruit and vegetable wholesale market and the leading companies in the agriculture and food sector of the country on the first day of the program. And on the second day, B2B business meetings were held by sector professionals. The importer companies operating in Qatar showed a great interest to West Mediterranean Exporters and their products. The opening speech of the B2B business meetings made by our Ambassador to Qatar, Mr. Fikret ÖZER. Doha Trade Counselor, Mr. Burak GÜRESÇI also participated in the business meeting program.

Between the companies visited by West Mediterranean Exporters were Almira, Lulu and Safari which are the largest supermarket chains in Qatar. On one hand, Qatari company representatives expressed their appreciations of seeing Turkish businessmen in their region. On the other hand, Turkish company representatives finalized their business program with the pleasure of successful business meetings.
